Amalia was born in Palmira, Coahuila, Mexico. She married Ismael Castaneda. She was a housewife and a member of St Ann Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son Arthur and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Harper-Welch Funeral Home (formally Love) in Sonora, TX Saturday, February 7th from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday February 8th, from 10 am to 7 pm. Rosary will be at 3:30 pm both days. Mass will be at 2:00 pm at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Monday February 9th.
