Idolina Chavez

Idolina Chavez, born on October 30, 1946, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, passed away on November 27, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas. She lived a life defined by her dedication to service and her unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and community. For over 25 years, Idolina worked as a custodian at Sonora Independent School District. Her kindness and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

Idolina is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Francisca Maldonado. She leaves behind her beloved children, Federico Chavez Jr., Palmira Sanchez, and Leticia Martinez, and her grandchildren, Yolanda, Monica, and Kristy Sanchez and Esau, Andrew, Brandon, and Alyssa Martinez, who cherish her memories and the values she instilled in them.

To honor Idolina's life and legacy, visitation will be held at Love Funeral Home in Sonora, Texas, on November 29 and 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day. A funeral service will take place at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Sonora on December 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment and a celebration of her life.

Idolina Chavez will be remembered not only for her contributions to the Sonora community but also for her warmth, love, and the profound impact she made on those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
