Juandelle Jeannette jeffrey

July 13, 1942 — May 27, 2026

Eldorado, TX

Juandelle Jeannette Calcote Jeffery passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 27, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her most.

Known to many as Aunt Nette, Gran, or Bamma, Jeanette wore many hats—housewife, mother, grandmother—and never met a stranger she couldn’t befriend. She delighted in making people laugh, giving everyone a playful hard time, spending time with her family and pets, and brightening every room she entered. Born July 13, 1942, in Eldorado, Texas, Jeanette was the eighth of twelve children in the lively Calcote family. She married David Jeffrey on June 1, 1961, and together they adopted their daughter Patti Cole. In 1982, Jeanette adopted her granddaughter Cayla Jeffrey Vanecek, embracing her role as loving mother even more.

Jeanette leaves behind grandchildren—Mitchell Cole and Hope Cole of Fort Worth, and Dalton Cole of Lubbock—as well as an energetic crew of great-grandchildren: Atheris, Lila, Arwen, Nicholas, Isabel, David, Aiden, Flora, Patti, Emery, and Wyatt. Her brothers John and Mike Calcote of Eldorado and Dale Dusek of San Angelo also remain to cherish her memory.

She was famous for her sense of humor and generosity, never hesitating to lend a hand or a smile. Jeanette was living proof of kindness, faith, and thoughtfulness, always ready with a joke to make even the most serious person blush. Her radiant smile could light up the darkest corner, and her zest for life was reflected in the vibrant colors she adored. She’d much rather see us celebrating her life in those joyful shades than wearing black. Jeanette was deeply loved and will be remembered for the laughter and warmth she brought to so many lives.

Memorial Services will be held at Schleicher County Cemetery Chapel on Saturday June 6, 2026, at 11am.
