Marco A Pimentel Jr, was a proud loving husband, father, son, brother, and dedicated member of the community. Marco passed away on May 31, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 7, 1981, in Eldorado, TX, Marco’s journey was marked by an outstanding work ethic and a heart full of kindness that touched everyone who had the privilege to know him.

A proud graduate of Sonora Bronco in 2001, Marco embarked on a career that spanned over two decades in the oil field industry. His leadership and commitment extended beyond the rig as he served as the Director of Operations at the Lillian M Hudspeth Memorial Hospital, where his efforts helped shape the community’s health community. Marco was known not just for his professional accomplishments but also for his sweet and giving nature. Though occasionally grumpy, which those close to him found endearing, his love for his family and community was unwavering. Golfing with friends and family was a favorite pastime of his.

He is survived by his loving parents, Marco A. Pimentel Sr and Norma, his devoted wife Carolina Pimentel, their beloved daughter Carolina and future granddaughter. Marco’s close-knit family included his brothers Hector and his wife Attie, Victor and his Grisyan, and sister Michelle and husband Emmanuel. Marco has three nephews and three nieces who he loved very much: Kayson, Cody, Kamila, Liam, and Emma. 

Marco was preceded in death by his grandparents, Omar and Josepa Pimentel, and Gilberto and Rita Sanchez, their memories cherished deeply by those he leaves behind. Those who knew Marco remember him for his kindness, willingness to help others, and the meaningful impact he made on his community.

Visitation will be held on June 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Harper-Welch Funeral Home - Sonora, located at 409 SE 2nd St, Sonora, TX 76950. The funeral service will follow on June 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St Ann's Catholic Church, 311 W Plum St, Sonora, TX 76950, with interment at Sonora Cemetery, 516 North Service Road, Sonora, TX 76950, beginning at 11:15 AM.

Marco A Pimentel Jr’s legacy is one of steadfast devotion—to his family, his work, and the community he so dearly loved.
