Ninfa Garcia (Torres) DeLeon

Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Sister, Tia & Madrina, Ninfa Garcia (Torres) DeLeon, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was born on June 6, 1943, to Emiliano and Maria Torres in Del Rio, Texas.

Ninfa was raised in Sonora, Texas, and spent most of her adult life in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was well known for her beautiful and delicious wedding and quinceañera cakes, each one made with love and care. Ninfa’s joy for life was evident in everything she did — especially in her love for dancing and celebrating with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emiliano and Maria Torres; her sister, Elfida “Chayo” Martinez; and her brothers, Damacio (Leonor) Torres and Jesus Torres, all of Sonora, Texas.

Ninfa leaves behind her devoted husband of 53 years, Guadalupe DeLeon, and her beloved daughter, Linda LaBelle, and son-in-law, Richard LaBelle, whom she lovingly called “Son.” She was a proud grandmother to Michael Monge, Kristen LaBelle, and Jesse (Myranda) LaBelle, and a cherished great-grandmother to Mikey, Aleks, and Mila Monge, as well as two precious great-great-granddaughters.

She is also survived by her brothers, Guadalupe (Marina) Torres of Grand Prairie and Ben (Josie) Torres of Sonora; her sisters, Francis Reyna of Winters and Irma Torres of Dallas; and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren who adored her.

Ninfa was blessed with a large, close-knit family and countless friends. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed, but her family finds comfort knowing she is now dancing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be held at Love Funeral Home in Sonora, Texas, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 p.m., with burial to follow at Sonora Cemetery.
